Saudi, Egypt institutes host faith symposium

RIYADH: An international symposium held by ’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance and Egypt’s Al-Azhar Al-Sharif opened in Cairo on Thursday, themed “Pioneering Experiences and Future Prospects in Promoting the Values ​​of Moderation and Balance.”

The ministry’s Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs Awad bin Sabti Al-Enazi, and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif’s Deputy Grand Imam Muhammad Al-Duwaini attended the opening with other officials, the SPA reported on Friday.

The event aims to highlight the pioneering role of the ministry and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in promoting a culture of moderation and countering extremist ideologies.

It also seeks to strengthen cooperation between the two entities to serve Islam.
